Welcome<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\nSt Georges Lodge was established\u00a0in October 2013 to serve the Masonic needs of the English-speaking community in the Lausanne region.\u00a0 Its founders obtained agreement from the Grand Lodge Alpina of Switzerland to work, in English, the three Emulation degrees familiar to many English Masons.\n\n\n\n\n\nFreemasonry is\u00a0a fraternal\u00a0alliance between free men from all beliefs\u00a0and from all social horizons. Meetings<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n\nSubject to rearrangement due to Public Holidays and other hotel commitments, our regular meetings take place at theHotel and Conference Centre at La Longeraie<\/a>, Morges, starting at 7.00 pm.\u00a0The meetings\u00a0are normally held on the fourth Thursday\u00a0of October and\u00a0November as well as\u00a0January to June. The installation Meeting is usually held on a Saturday in late\u00a0September.\n\n\n\n\n

Origins<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\nSt George\u2019s Lodge was consecrated in October 2013 by 27 Brethren, 21 of whom were existing members of the Grand Lodge Alpina of Switzerland.\u00a0 Of these, 17 were members of\u00a0Masonry Universal Lodge<\/a>\u00a0in Geneva.\u00a0 The remaining six founder members were from England (four), Brazil and Canada.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Consecration Meeting was presided over by the Grand Master, assisted by several Grand Officers, and attended by a large number of visitors.\u00a0 The first regular meeting was held on 5 December 2013.\u00a0 By the end of the first Masonic Year ( June 2014 ),\u00a0our membership had grown from 27 to almost 60.\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
